Maria Luisa Cano, 67, of Borger died Tuesday Sept. 13th in Amarillo. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m.Thursday Sept. 15th at St. John Catholic Church with Msgr. Michael Cowell officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Maria was born Feb. 18,1944 in Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico to Joel and Cecilia Cano. She loved knitting and cooking. She attended St. John Catholic Church in Borger. She had been a resident of Borger for 20 years.
She is survived by her mother Cecilia Alvarado of Jaurez, Mexico. Sons Carlos Marmolejo of Ft Worth, Juan A. Salomon , Joel Salomon, Sergio Vigueria, Saul Vigueria all of Borger. Daughters Margarita Marmolejo, Carmen Cardenas, Maria Isabel Gonzales and Sara Compean all of Borger. Brothers Cruz Escobar, Oscar Beltran and Avel Beltran all of Juarez, Mexico. Sister Cecilia Cano of Juarez, Mexico. 35 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
