Maria Garcia

Maria Elena Garcia, 60, passed away Monday, May 25, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Church of Christ at Borger.  Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Maria was born November 4, 1960 in San Rafael, San Pedro, Coahuila, Mexico to Genaro Rodriguez and Diega Castanon.  She loved God and sharing with people about God, even if it made them uncomfortable.  Maria loved her church and was very active with her service at church.  She enjoyed being on Facebook.  Maria liked to garden, sew, swim, and was a very talented cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Garcia; and sister, Olga Reyes.

Survivors include the love of her life, her husband of 43 years, Donato of Borger; son, Fabian Garcia of Borger; daughter, Gloria Rocio Lopez and husband, Juan of Borger; two grandchildren whom she adored, Mateo and Celeste Lopez; four brothers; three sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
