Maria Villa

Maria Villa, 102, moved to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm on Monday, March 26, 2018 at First Assembly of God Church in Fritch with Pastor Justin Unwin officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Maria was born July 2, 1915 in Marlin, Texas to Ben and Verna Juarez Guebarra. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was an amazing mother who loved with all her heart. Maria enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, watching Christian TV and western movies. She was a chocolate addict especially M&Ms.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joe Villa; her parents; son, Joel Villa, daughters, Priscilla Villa, Lisa Lanners; grandson, Fredric "Freddy" Miranda; three brothers; four sisters; and daughters-in-law, Alma and Alice Villa.

Survivors include her sons, Josh Villa of Amarillo, Abel Villa of Fritch; daughters, Lydia King and husband Jerry of Amarillo, Elizabeth Galley and husband Edwin of Fritch, Ruth Smith of Fritch; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; special nephew, Samuel Lee Smith; and a host of extended family.
