Marie Brown

Marie Jean Brown, 73, of Borger died Friday September 14th in Borger. Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Thursday September 20th at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses with brothers Allen Tollett and Scott Meister officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Jean was born July 30, 1939 in Amarillo, TX to Louis Brasher and Melba Grace Christie. She was a midwife for 54 years delivering over one hundred babies. She married Joseph Brown August 2, 1957 at Amarillo. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses where she was a bible educator and was active in the congregation.She was preceded in death by her parents, father of her children and a brother Niki Brasher.

She is survived by daughters Angie Sibthorpe of Borger, Dawn Daily of Baytown, TX, Dana Sanders of Borger and Cali Brown of Borger. Sons Jody Brown of Chandler, TX, Seth Brown of Borger, Joel Brown of Borger and Gideon Brown of Borger. Sisters Alice Sirmons of Tulsa, OK, Mona Sedgewick of St. Johns Island, SC and Edna Young of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ten Grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one on the way.
