Marie Litterell

Marie Litterell, 88, died December 24, 2018 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Denny Sneed officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Marie was born November 7, 1930 in Jackson, OK to John Ervin Raney and Mollie Maude Neal Raney. She has lived in Borger for the past seventy years and was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. Marie was first of all a loving mother to her three sons and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. She was remembered also as the friendliest checker at Furr's Grocery Store.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband L. J. Litterell in 1964, two brothers and two sisters.

Marie is survived by her three sons; Bennie Litterell of Borger, Dennie Litterell and his wife Theresa of Bella Vista, AR and Kennie Litterell and his fiance Julie Kendall of Rockwall, TX, her seven grandchildren Melanie Brown, Nevada Litterell, Jonathan Litterell, Sean Litterell, Matthew Litterell, Dora Litterell and Benjamin Litterell and her 4 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The family would like to thank BSA hospital staff for the amazing care they gave Marie.
