Marilyn Erickson, a long-time resident of the Texas Panhandle, was born on May 6, 1932. Living 85 amazing years and spending most of them in Borger, Texas, she was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 8, 2017. Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was joyful, friendly to everyone she met, full of life, and always smiling. She loved bowling, wearing the color purple, going to yoga, attending church, and visiting family and friends. She was incredibly hard-working and volunteered thousands of hours to help those in need.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Pete and Dorothy Stifle.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Cook of Dallas; her daughter, Randye Hedgecoke and wife, Andrea Beth Damsky of San Diego, CA; granddaughter, Kacie Mendez and husband, Jon-Paul Mendez; grandson, Clayton Cook; and great grandsons, Caleb and Matthew Mendez.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 10 am, Saturday, July 22 at Borger First Church of the Nazarene, 501 Kaye Street, Borger, TX.
