Marion Smith

Marion Wallace Smith, 75, of Fritch died July 25, 2008 at his home. Graveside Services will be 9:00 am. Tuesday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Winters of First Southern Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Wallace was born March 18, 1933 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Warnnie and Grace Smith. He was a Lab Technician at Phillips Petroleum Company for 35 years. On May 1, 1975 he married Patsy Morris in Panhandle. Wallace was military police in the United States Air Force. He was a Fritch resident for 33 years and loved football, woodworking, and dogs. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch.

Survivors include his wife Patsy of the home, stepson, Jeff Griffin of Houston, stepdaughter, Ronetta Griffin of Elizabethton, Tenn., sister, Maxine Crawford of Pawhuskie, Ok., 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
