Marion E. Buddy Wilkinson, 64, died Tuesday, July 17th, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister of Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Buddy was born in Annona, Tx to Jimmie and Sarah Wilkinson on August 26, 1942. He married Barbara Hawley on October 21, 1960 in Borger. Buddy had lived in the Panhandle area for more than 40 years. He was a professional truck driver and had driven for serveral different trucking companies in his career, such as Quinn, Sav-a-Stop, Baldwin and Groendyke where he retired. He was preceeded in death by his mother, Sarah, his father, Jimmie and his brother - Jimmie Dale. Survivors include his wife Barbara of the home; a son - DeWayne Wilkinson and wife, Teddi of Canadian, Tx; two daughters - Debra Gipson and husband, Derick of Witchita Falls, Tx; Kathy Smith of Odessa, TX; a foster son - Jack Stowe, a brother - Herbert Wilkinson of Baytown, Tx; a sister - Margie Marie of Gainsville, Tx; 6 grandchildren - Sarah, and her husband, Lloyd, Brandon and his wife, Carrie, Jamie Jo, Lonnie, Brice and Payton, and 5 great grandchildren, Hunter, Trey, Yancey, Brandon Cole and MaKaylee. He was fortunate to have a second family of Ann Snow, sister, Barbara Garrard and brother, Jackie Cooper. Casket Bearers will be Lloyd Newton, Brandon Gipson, Lonnie Smith, Dennis Brazeal, Chuck Butterfield and Jack Stowe. Honorary bearers will be Eugene Hawley, Hunter Barker, Trey Newton and Brice Wilkinson. The family will be staying at 112 W. Ocla in Borger.
