Borger Beloved mother and friend, Marjorie V. Huval, 86, stepped into heaven on July 9, 2009 in Borger. She was born on June 28, 1923 to Everett Eugene Crawford and Ruby Madge Wiggins Crawford at St. Francis, Kansas. She married Lee Roy Huval on October 16, 1948 in Stinnett, TX. Marjorie first came to Borger at the age of 3. She also lived in White Deer and later Skellytown. After their marriage, Marj and Lee Roy came to live in Borger, raising a family of 10 children. She worked in Girl Scouting, PTA, and League of Democratic Women, serving as precinct Chairwoman and attending county and state Democratic conventions. One of Marjs complete joys of her life has been her faith in God and serving Him as a Catholic and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Borger. In 1978 she was named Women of the Year by the Amarillo Diocesan Council of Catholic Women where she had served as council president. Marj also served as president of St. Johns Altar Society and of the Pampa Deanery Council of Catholic Women. She also served on the Diocesan Liturgy Committee and was commended for her leadership qualities over the years. Marj also had an amazing talent for fashion and cosmetics, selling Fashion Two Twenty and Lady Finnell. Pallbearers will be her sons.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 babies, 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter. Marj is survived by 6 sons Phillip and wife MaryAnn of Lubbock, Matthew, Gregory, Anthony all of Borger, Joseph of Fritch, Mark and wife Lisa of Amarillo; 4 daughters Sondra Hobbs of Albuquerque, NM, Margaret Brummett and husband Russell of Amarillo, Theresa Riley of Borger, Mary Louise Huval of Baton Rouge, La, 24 Grandchildren, 48 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild. Services will be a Rosary Memorial Service at Minton Memorial Chapel, Sunday at 7:00 p.m. and her Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Monday the 13th at St. John the Evangelist Church In Borger.
