Rita Harrington

Marittia “Rita” Ann Harrington, 72, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 9 am on Monday, August 12, 2024, in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Rita was born October 31, 1951, in Borger, Texas to Shed Marvin Lollar and Georgia Helen Holland Lollar. She married Clyde L. Harrington on July 3, 1979, in Borger. Rita served as the past Matron of the Borger Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star #811. She was an active member of Midway Church; her Sunday School class held a special place in her heart. Rita enjoyed reading and playing games. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her grandkids and great grandkids. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; Shed and Georgia Lollar; husband, Clyde L. Harrington; daughter, Shelly Diane Ray; sister, Jeylene Ritchie; and brother, Ernie Lollar.

Survivors include her son, Shannon Ray and wife Laurie of Aubrey; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
