Martha Ann "Sally" Nicholas

Martha Ann "Sally" Nicholas, passed from this life January 11, 2025, in Borger. A Funeral Service will be held at Minton Memorial Chapel Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

Sally was born January 1, 1928, to Milam M Murphy and Priscilla Farris in Paris, Texas.  She married Cyburn Nicholas on August 19, 1944, in Paris and was a beautician.  Known as a great cook, she once made 30 peanut butter chocolate pies for the State convention for Vietnam Veterans.  An avid people person, she enjoyed gambling as well as helping raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dwaine C. Nicholas, stepfather Clarence J. Moore, brothers David C. Moore and Billy Joe Murphy, and sisters Mila May Starr and Opal Juanita Lowery.

Sally is survived by daughter Percilla Newberry; daughter-in-law Linda Nicholas; grandchildren Paul (Trish) Newberry, Kimberly (Daniel) Holjes, Sharon (Chief) Prock, and Teresa Bodey; great grandchildren Tristan McDaniel, Davin Holjes, Daxton Holjes, Halle Holjes, Chase Prock, and Taelor Bodey.

Memorials may be made to the Fritch Volunteer Fire Department.
