Martin Escobar

Martin Ortiz Escobar, 39, died Saturday, August 8, 2009 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Centro Cristiano Church at 514 Deahl St. with Pastor Carlos Escobar, Jr., officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Martin was born on January 29, 1970 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico and had been a lifetime resident of Borger. He worked in the oilfield and enjoyed fishing and listening to music.

Martin is survived by his father - Carlos Escobar of Borger, his former wife - Bertha Zapata of Borger, son - Martin Daniel Escobar of Borger, daughter - Misty Escobar of Borger, eight brothers - Carlos Escobar, Jr. of Houston, Ramon, Alfredo Armando, David and Victor Escobar all of Borger, Arturo Escobar of Kansas City, MO, Rito Escobar of Enid, OK, four sisters - Lidia Escobar, Yolando Fernandez, Ana Rodriguez and Hilda Escobar all of Borger and one grandchild to be.

Casket bearers will be Carlos Escobar, Jr., Ramon Escobar, Alfredo Escobar, Armando Escobar, David Escobar, Victor Escobar, Arturo Escobar, Martin Daniel Escobar and Rumaldo Zapata.
