Marvin Goodall

Marvin O. Goodall, 82 of Amarillo formerly of Fritch died Friday Sept. 16th in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday Sept. 20th at First Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Downer, pastor of Bible Baptist Church of Slayton, TX. and Rev. Curtis Redmond, pastor of Beacon Baptist Church in Amarillo officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Love at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Marvin was born September 23, 1928 at Girard, TX to L. Robert and Cynthia Elizabeth Goodall. He worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. at CoPoly plant 32 years and the refinery for 3 years as a instrument tech. He married Floy Sutton Dec. 28, 2002 at Slayton, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Bennie Goodall 2002. Sons Daryl and Eddie. Marvin loved to play instruments for the church, nursing homes and going to jam sessions, weddings and funerals. He also loved horses, calf roping, coaching baseball,basketball and track. He served on the Board of SanfordFritch ISD.

He is survived by his wife Flo of Amarillo. Son Donny and wife Nelda Goodall of Austin, TX. Daughter Marva and husband Darrell Rasco of Lockney, TX. Step sons Jack Downer of Amarillo, TX and Rev. Chris Downer and wife Trish of Slayton, TX. Step Daughters Sis and husband Jimmy James of Canyon, TX. Betty and husband Larry Watson of Washburn, TX. Penny Crump of Livingston, TX. Brothers Bernice Goodall of Girard, TX. and Billy Goodall of Seminole, TX. Sisters Dean Essary of Lubbock, TX. and Flo Favor of Jayton, TX. 21 Grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday September 19, 2011 at MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
