Mary Alice Smith, 89, died Saturday November 24, 2007 at Borger. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 27, 2007 at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Hope at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mary was born July 28, 1918 at Covington, Texas to William and Aletha Carr. She married D. W. Smith on December 23, 1925 in Hillsboro, Texas. She worked as a checker at Ideal Grocery until she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Rebekahs and Grandmothers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sons.

Mary is survived by a son, Dwight Smith of Garden City, Kansas and a daughter, Sharon O'Brien of Borger, Texas; Seven Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and three Great Great Grandchildren.
