Mary Ruth Oma Briggs, 91, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 in Amarillo.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Hope at Highland Park cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Briggs was born on February 4, 1920 in Como, Texas. She married Lee Briggs and moved to Borger. Ruth was former manager of the Arcade Hotel and was a Southern Baptist. Ruth loved her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Whig Martha Warren, husband B. L. Lee Briggs in 1982, a daughter Carolyn Briggs, three brothers L.D. Warren, J. G. Red Warren, and H.A. Snow Warren.

She is survived by one son Ron Briggs and wife Eva of Amarillo, four grandchildren Kevin Lee Briggs wife Crystal, Jody Briggs, Trey Briggs wife Allyson Mary Ann Ellis.
