Mary Deason

Mary Maxine Deason, 92, a former resident of Borger died Monday, October 18, 2010 in San Antonio.

Graveside services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Jake Minton officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Deason was born on December 31, 1917 in Clinton, Arkansas to Jesse Maggie Smith. She owned and operated Maxines Beauty Shop for years in Borger. She had moved to Borger in 1943 and moved to San Antonio in 1996. Maxine was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ira N. Deason on June 17, 1988.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra Rickard and husband Scott of San Antonio, son Jim Deason and wife Karen of Apache, OK, two sisters Fay Johnson and husband PeeWee of Waco, Jo Taylor of Penelope, nine grandchildren, ten greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
