Mary Lea Hollingsworth 82 of Panhandle, TX, died Thursday, February 25, 2016.
Services are scheduled for Saturday at 3 pm at Calvary Baptist Church in Panhandle, TX, with Matt Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Panhandle Cemetery. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was born in Aylesworth, Oklahoma, on March 6, 1933 to J.W. Tennyson and Mattie Robinson Tennyson. She married Wayne Hollingsworth in 1960 and was widowed in 1964. She then married E.V. (Curly) Hollingsworth on July 22, 1967, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She taught piano lessons and played organ and piano for numerous churches through the years. She loved to play the piano, garden, do ceramics and spend time with all of her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Wayne and Curly; a sister Leona Neafus; and a brother James Alfred Tennyson.
Survivors include her four daughters Rhonda Diann Willard and husband Pete of Panhandle, TX; Michelle Lee Parsons and husband Raymond of Amarillo, TX; Marsha Gayle York and husband Al of Grapevine, TX; Vicki Lee Slaughter of Watauga, TX; her sister Lillie Hartley of Claude, TX; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
