Lila Richardson, 97, died Friday, August 22, 2008 in Amarillo, Texas.BRBRGraveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Lieb Cemetery near Morse, TX with Mr. Zeb Sailors officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRLila was born on December 19, 1910 near Pringle in Hutchinson County to W.L. and Callie Watters. She attended schools in Alpha and Spearman. Lila married Lee Richardson in 1947. They farmed and ranched in Hutchinson County until retirement in 1975. They lived in Stinnett until 1996, when they moved to Amarillo so she could be close to her sister. Lee preceded her in death in 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Evelyn Culp and son Leroy Bannister. She was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ and the Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo.BRBRShe is survived by her son - Tom Bannister and his wife Cheri of Amarillo, step-son David Richardson of Odessa, two step-daughters - Sally Roden of Borger, Ivana Jones of Clovis, NM, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.BRBRThe family wishes to send special thanks to Wanda Gruver, Kirkland Court, and Odyssey Hospice Care.BRBRIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lieb Cemetery Association, A.A.
