Maxima Reyes, 82, of Borger died Tuesday at home. Rosary Services are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Minton Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Saint Johns Catholic Church with Deacon Seferino Jimenez officiating both services. Interment will follow in the Garden of Love in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casket bearers will be Juan L. Reyes, Moises Reyes, Felipe Reyes, Jesus Reyes, Ivan Reyes and James C. Sandoval, Jr.

Maxima was born November 17, 1926 in Agua De la Virgen , Texas to Sebatian and Maxima Sotelo. She married Luis Reyes in Mexico on March 19, 1945. She was a member of Saint Johns Catholic Church. Mrs. Reyes loved to go to church, pray for and take care of her family and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luis in 1999, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

Survivors include 4 sons Juan L. Reyes of Borger, Moises Reyes of Hobbs, NM, Felipe Reyes of Borger, Jesus Reyes of Hobbs, NM; 4 daughters Maria Luisa Reyes of Juarez, Mex, Elizabeth Heredia of Borger, Abigail Leyva of Borger, Gloria Mata of El Paso, TX; 2 brothers Sabino Sotelo, Victor Sotelo; a sister Merced Diabb; 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The family will be staying at 421 Roosevelt .
