Maxine "Mickey" Elizabeth Josephson, 92, of Pilot Point, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 in Plano, Texas.
A private interment will occur at Memory Gardens in Pampa. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 PM on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mickey was born August 18, 1924 in Kellyville, Oklahoma to Ervin Otis Hill and Wilma Dora Stricklen. She graduated from Cleveland, Oklahoma High School in 1942 and attended Tulsa Business College. Ms. Josephson worked for Johnson Oil Refining in Cleveland, Oklahoma and then moved to Borger in 1943 where she worked as a secretary for Phillips Petroleum Co. Mickey met her one true love, Ross S. Josephson and they married April 15th, 1945. They were married 67 years.
Mickey was a Girl Scout leader, a Rainbow leader, active in the Paragon Club, was a Red Cross Hospital volunteer, a Cub Scout Den mother, a best friend to many and a Great Mom to two lucky boys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Wilma; and husband, Ross.
Mickey (Mom, Grandma, Nanna, Mimi) is survived by her two sons, Barry Josephson and wife Carolyn of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Stan Josephson and wife LeeAnn of Richardson, Texas; five grandchildren, Jeremy Josephson and wife Mary, Tiffany Pevytoe and husband Chris, Megan Simons and husband Kevin, Mark Josephson and wife Shannon, and Sarah Grella and husband Will; and ten great-grandchildren, Jozlyne, Cadence, Noah, MaKayla, Keegan, Genny, Addie, Sam, Liam and Ethan.
