Maxine Mackie Richards, 79, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at her home in Borger.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Grace Church with Pastor Marshall Ford officiating, and Pastor Tim Hall assisting. Interment will follow in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mackie was born May 30, 1932 in Klondike, Texas to William R. and Amy E. Looney. She married Joe Richards, January 16, 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico, and was a member of Grace Church. Mackie was secretary for Rosa Paces office since 2005, and owned and operated Richards Music Company from 1951 to 2004 with her husband. She was a great business woman. Mackie played the piano, and loved each of her children the most.

Survivors include her son, Danny Richards and wife Carie of Borger two daughters Kathy Reed and husband Joe also of Borger, Lisa Hatch and husband Brian of San Angelo six grandchildren Cyndi Arnold, Dominic Nick Castagnetta, Freddie and Lorenzo Hatch, Kelly and Kristopher Richards four great grandchildren Kirsten Worsley, Mazie, Daxtyn, and Brooklyn Castagnetta and a great great grandson, Kasen Worsley.

Mackie is preceded in death by her husband, June 8, 1997 two brothersFate and Garland Looney, a sister, Helen Looney two grandsons, Derrick Sheppard, and Andrew Hatch.

The family would like to thank the nurses with Hospice Care Of The Southwest for their kind support.
