Melba Mae Bearden

Melba Mae Bearden, 92 of Borger passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Borger surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, September 15, 2023, at Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Melba was born April 27, 1931, in Springer, Oklahoma to George W. and Mary B. (Brown) Dawson. She married Rubert T. Bearden Jr March 23, 1951, in Borger. She was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah Witness where she loved helping wherever she was needed. She worked at Barney’s Pharmacy and fountain.

Preceding her in death are her parents; sisters, Mildred Hughes and Martha Wright; brother, Norman Dawson; father and mother-in-law, Rubert Bearden, Sr. and Mildred Bearden.

Surviving is her husband, R. T. Bearden of Borger; daughter, Loretta Joan Baylor of Borger; sister, Jean Kribbs of Bells, Texas; brothers-in-law, Barrett Bearden of Stinnett, Samuel Bearden of Borger, and Neil Bearden of Borger and several nieces and nephews.
