Melvin Hudson, 80, of Fritch, died Friday, January 13, 2012 in Fritch.

No services are scheduled. Family will have private family gathering at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Melvin Hudson was born May 3, 1931 in Magic City, Texas to Thomas J. and Gertrude B. Hudson. He served two terms in the United States Air Force, as an airplane mechanic, and in weather observation. Melvin lived in the Borger, Fritch area since 1956, and loved watching sports, gardening, and working in the yard.

Survivors include his brother Bobby Hudson of Borger, and a sister Yvonne Breg of Fritch several nieces and nephews.

Melvin is preceded in death by his wife Alta, parents, three brothers, and a sister.
