Michael Lloyd Couchman, 63, passed from this life June 17, 2023 in Tomball, TX. The Celebration of His Life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Pastor Dan Brunson officiating.

Mike. Crash. Papaw. Whatever you knew him as, he was an amazing person. He was always there for anyone who needed him and was happy to be a part of everyone’s lives and activities.

Mike loved many things but loved his wife Peggy and the life they made together most of all. They spent many years of traveling together and making memories with all their family and friends. He could never be found without some kind of candy, usually peanut m&m’s or tootsie pops, or a box of slim jims. He enjoyed sports of every kind, especially the ones he got to watch his grandkids play. He enjoyed going to the movies, spending time at the casino, and much more. His smile was contagious! He will forever be missed.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years Peggy, his bonus mother Roda Embrey, his two sons Matt Hester and wife Lisa of Raymore, MO and Jason Hester and wife Dona of Fritch, TX, his two daughters Kim Barnhill and husband Larry and Wendy Melton and husband Rex both of Fritch, TX, his two brothers Billy Embrey and wife Karmen of Coetta, OK and Jason Couchman of Indiana, his three sisters Teresa Taylor, Cindy Boydston, Kim Cooper and husband David all of MO, brother-in-law Bill Thrutchley and wife Marcia of Tulsa, OK, his fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceeded in death by father Russell Couchman, mother Ruth Embrey, and bonus father Bill Embrey.
