Michael Lynn Mikey Howell, 55, died Sunday in Fritch. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church Sanford with Rev. C.W. Parker, Odyssey Chaplain, officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
Mikey was born to Paul and Mary Howell on January 12, 1954 in Arkadelphia, AR. He moved to the Fritch area in 1957, was a Boy Scout and a 1973 Graduate of Borger High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an Ironworker and Heavy Equipment Operator for Rice Construction and was a member of the Ironworkers and Boilermakers Union.
Mr. Howell is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary and a nephew Slade Howell.
His survivors include a brother Kenneth Howell and wife Betty of Stinnett; his Aunt Jean and Uncle Willie Owen of Fritch; a nephew PeeWee Howell of Fritch; a niece Traci Howell of Vega; 2 cousins Judy Ziegelgruber and husband Roy of Fritch and Ruth Owen of Borger and a great niece Sherri Thompson of Fritch.
Pall Bearers will be Lonnie Nunley, Steve Slaybaugh, Floyd McAnally, Greg Adams, Regina Cline and Steve Price.
Mikey will lie in state at the Borger Funeral Home.
