Michael Smith

Michael Loe Smith, 53, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 in Borger.

Memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with
Rev. Barry Loving, pastor of First Christian Church in Amarillo. Cremation is
under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Michael Loe Smith Michelob was born April 7th 1957 in Falfurrias, TX to
Larry and Evelyn Smith. He graduated high school in 1975 from Monahans High
in Monahans, TX. He has been a longtime resident of Borger. Mike married
Jenny Smith on January 11, 1980.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman, loved his family, and spending time with his
grandkids. He never met a stranger and laughter followed him wherever he
went. Mike was a member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Sons of the
American Revolution, and Alamo Defenders Descendants Association. He
retired from the City of Borger Waste Water Plant in June, 2009. Mike lost
his two year battle with cancer on November 14, 2010. Mikes presence will
be deeply missed by all those who love him.


He is survived by his mother Evelyn Smith of Marble Falls, TX, wife Jenny
Smith of the home, two sons Danny Smith and wife Mika and David Smith and wife
Brianna all of Amarillo, daughter Becky Cox and husband Justin of Amarillo,
two brothers Alan Smith and wife Nancy of Marble Falls, TX, Jeff Smith of
Borger, four grandchildren Autumn Smith, Austin Smith, Brynlee Cox and Jack
Cox.
