Michael Wayne "Mike" Weber, 65, died June 6, 2018 in Amarillo. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Mike was born July 7, 1952 in Salina, Kansas to Elmer Leroy Weber and Vinita C. Frizzell Weber. He was a lifetime resident of the Borger area and a Crude Operator for Phillips 66 for 27 years before his retirement. Mike proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam era in Germany. He was a member of Grace Church and married Sheila Jean Mays June 1, 1974 in Ft. Sheridan, Illinois. He loved to read Westerns, SciFi and Mysteries, he listened to old time Rock and Roll music and he loved to camp at Lake Fryer and building big, no, gigantic fires. Mike enjoyed playing Santa Claus, as he did in downtown Borger for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Nancy Hill and his brother Jerry Weber.
Mike is survived by his wife of 44 years Sheila, his two sons David Weber and his wife Candie of Stinnett and Aaron Weber and his wife Brooke of Ord, Nebraska, his four grandchildren Colby, Devynne, KateLyn and Blake, his great granddaughter Tinsley, his brother Dale Weber, two sisters Patricia Sursa and Cindy Hardy all of Amarillo.
