Mikel Wellesley

Mikel Charles Wellesley, 58, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Jeremy Vass officiating. Services and cremation are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice.

Mikel was born May 1, 1960 in Borger to Charles Wellesley and Patsy Stegall Wellesley. He married Janet Malone on June 12, 1981 in Borger. Mikel was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. He enjoyed riding Harleys but nothing brought more joy to his life than his children and grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Pat Wellesley; sister, Peggy Manning; and nephew, Clint Manning.

Survivors include his wife, Janet of Borger; son, Shane Wellesley of Borger; daughter, Nikki Hemphill of Borger; three grandchildren, Bryton, Tyler, Makenna; father, Charles Wellesley of Stinnett; sister, Charlene Cain and husband Darrell of Stinnett; and brother, Ross Wellesley and wife Donna of Amarillo.
