Mildred Leora Booth Lewis, 91 of Morse, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Borger. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Morse. Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The viewing hours will be 8:00 am to 8:00 pm from Monday to Friday and on Saturday 9:00 am till service time at the church.

Mildred was born August 31, 1931, in Newlin, Texas to Charles Henry and Dora Lee (Lunceford) Booth. She married Frank Lewis on June 4, 1953, in Lesley, Texas. They moved to Morse in 1962. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Morse and was the Postmaster at Morse for 20 years. She was past president of the PTA and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club known as the “ Hansford Honeys.” Mildred was also a member of the Hansford Home Demonstration Club. She was known as the Fireworks lady.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Frank; brothers, Joe Booth, Grover Booth and two infant brothers; sisters, Gladys Anthony and Helen Booth

Surviving is her son, Van Duane Lewis and wife Kathy of Borger; daughter, Linda Lou Lewis of Borger; sister-in-law, Alma Thompson of San Angelo, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Lewis and Christopher Lewis.

Memorials may be made to Morse Fire Department.
