Mildred Louise Duckworth, 85, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 28th, at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister of the Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Pampa under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mildred was born on July 29, 1925 in Frederick, OK and had been a Borger resident since 1944. She married Bennie Duckworth on April 27, 1946 in Borger and he preceded her in death in 1997. She was secretary for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 5 years. Mildred Loved to quilt, sew, crochet, made great pies, played games at the Opportunity Center, was a Dallas Cowboy fan, loved sports, and especially loved watching the grandkids. She had a great attitude on life.
She is survived by two daughters Nancy Jordan of Deer Park, TX, Glynda Brown and husband Travis of Borger, sister Joyce Betty of Decatur, TX, five grandchildren Chad Brown and wife Carrie of Bartlesville, OK, Nathan Brown of Claude, TX, Aaron Brown of Allen, TX, Vanessa Jordan of San Jose, CA, Staff Sgt. Drew Jordan of Jacksonville, NC, and six greatgrandchildren.
