Montie Boyett

Montie Joe Boyett, 82, died Wednesday, December 6th, 2006 in Borger, TexasBRBRServices will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Borger with Rev. Scott Maze, pastor and Rev. Robert Hensley, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funerla Directors of Borger.

Mr. Boyett was born on March 7, 1924 in Welllington, Texas and had been a Borger resident since 1948, moving here from Hollis, OK. He retired as an instrument man from Phil Black Carbon Black Plant. He served in the US Army as a paratrooper during WW II. He married Gracie Keeton on September 9, 1945 in Vernon, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, served as a deacon, taught Sunday School and was minister of the Childrens Church for three years.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his parents, John Evans Boyett and Eunice Love Lewis Boyett, three sisters, Doris Ann Boyett, Frances Roberts, Dawn Boyett, and brother, Wendell Howard Boyett.BRBRHe is survived by his wife, Gracie of the home, two sons - John S. Boyett and wife, Donna of DeSota, Tx., Montie L. Boyett and wife, Natalie of Borger, two daughters - Myra Jo Tate and husband, Allen of Houston, Tx., Sandra Davis and husband, John Karl of Ft. Worth, Tx., brother - John Evans, Jr. and wife, Mary of Amarillo, Tx., three sisters - Jeanne Boyett of California, Mildred Kellison of Hollis, Ok., Monelle Holley and husband, Ron of Plano, TX., nine grandchildren- Mindy and husband, Robert Harrel, Katie and husband, Jason Webb, Kyle and wife, Wendy Davis, Joshua and wife, Desaraye Boyett, Lydia Boyett, Noah Boyett, Martha Tate, Elizabeth Tate and Rachel Tate and five great-grandchildren - Robert Harrel, Gracie Faye harrel, Benson Sidney harrel, Cheyene Webb and Dakota James Webb.

Casket bearers will be Kyle Davis, Joshua Boyett, Noah Boyett, Jason Webb, Robert Harrel and Mike Boyett.

Memorials may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, First Baptist Church, 100 S. Hedgecoke, Borger, Texas 79007.
