Muriel Leslie Turner, 88, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 in Borger.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Bill Ratchford, Cross Community Church of God, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.
Muriel was born to Carless Lesley Turner and Flora Grimes Turner on May 2, 1923. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force from November of 1939 to 1946, stationed in Ft. Sill, AR. He married his wife, Christine on September 13, 1944 in London, England. He has been in the Borger community since 1946. He is retired from Phillips Petroleum Maintenance Department after working there for 37 years.
He is survived by his son David Turner and wife, Jean of Borger Daughter Mary Louise Vanoven of Borger Brother Gene Turner of Michigan Sister Mary Lou Grubbs of Panhandle Grandchildren, Tammy Owens, Kimberly Smith, Sherry Adams, Bobby Dunn, and Chris Dunn. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Christine Warren Turner.
