Myrtle Smith, 95, of Borger, passed away Saturday Jan. 3rd in Borger, Texas.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 pm Saturday Jan. 10th at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ with pastor Rev. Harry Williams officating. Burial will be in the Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Myrtle was born on Jan. 28, 1913 at Smithville, Texas to Willis and Nellie Nolan. She had been a resident of Borger for 69 years. She had been a housekeeper for 20 years. She married Walter Smith May 19, 1945 at Amarillo, Texas and he passed away in 1978. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and church work at New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ where she was a member.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Yolanda Ingram of Borger, Texas and a son Tarike Jackson of Independence, Kansas. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Myrtle Smith will lie in state from Wednesday to 12 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
