Naomi Kay Lawson- Carter, 82 of Amarillo went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2024, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2004, at Panhandle Cemetery. The burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle, TX. There will be a visitation of family and friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
Naomi was born October 2,1941 in Pampa, TX. To Kermit B Lawson and Josephine (Lane) Lawson.
Naomie married Richard Clay Carter on August 28, 1984, in Kansas City, MO. She was a teacher and housewife. Teaching in Conroe and Pampa. She was very active in her Church St. Johns United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Methodist Women. She loved horses and her children’s saddle is on display at Square House Museum in Panhandle.
Preceding her in death are her parents, husband and sister Joanne Watkins. Surviving are her cousin Dr Jerry Lane and wife Mary Lou of Panhandle. Nephew Mark Watkins of Meadowlakes, TX. Aunt Susanne Lane of Pampa. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Liberty School Projects and Square House Museum P. O. Box 276 Panhandle, TX 79068
