Naomi Ruth Nuttall, 104, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021.
A celebration of her life will be held 1 pm on Friday, April 2, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Borger, masks are optional. Graveside services were held at Westlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Opportunities Inc., 930 Illinois, Borger, Texas, 79007. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Naomi was born June 15, 1916 in Cotton Gin, Freestone County, Texas to William Ellis Riddle and Minerva Sharp Riddle. The family lived in Waco and Abilene before moving to Phillips, Texas in 1933. She worked for Phillips Petroleum as a secretary before marrying Max Nuttall in March 1941. Their daughter, Kathryn, was born in 1942. Max died in December of 2007. Naomi was a gifted artist. There was an exhibit of her artwork at the Hutchinson County Museum in Borger in February/March 2007. Naomi loved learning. She attended classes at Lee College in Baytown and at Frank Phillips College in Borger. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Borger. She and Max were drivers for Meals on Wheels for many years. Naomi lived at Golden Years Assisted Living and received loving care there for four years.
Naomi is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Nuttall of Borger and numerous cousins.
