Nathaniel Nate Sheppard, 56, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Grace Fellowship Church. Interment will be in The Garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Nathaniel Sheppard was born March 12, 1954 in Recklaw, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pettie Mazie Bell Sheppard and a brother, Willie Emite Sheppard.
Nate graduated from Laneville High School in Laneville, TX. He was employed at Conoco Phillips for thirtysix years as a boilermaker.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his warm smile and presence, his loving wife, Joann Sheppard three daughters Crystal Sheppard and Tinaia Sheppard both of Amarillo, Alexis Sheppard of Borger one grandchild, NaSyiah Sheppard five sisters Dorothy Burkley of San Angelo, Vernell Willis of Oakland, CA, Fannie Tillman of Borger, Nettie Lue James Elmore of Seattle, WA, Lerline Freddie Cooper of Laneville, TX five brothers L. M. Ernestine Sheppard of Amarillo, Bobbie Dell Shirley Sheppard of Seattle, WA, Pettie Jean Pat Sheppard of Oklahoma City, OK, William Lanette Sheppard of Goodspring, TX, Harold Helen Sheppard of Recklaw, TX, and host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Tinaia, Alexia Crystal Sheppard
Nathaniel gave to the community and loved to give to different
Organizations. His relaxation time was cooking out and he loved riding horses.
There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the funeral home.
