Neal Lee Derrick

Neal Lee Derrick, 73, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Cremation is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Neal was born October 25, 1950, in Borger to Joe Derrick and Betty Fluty Derrick.  He married Brenda Ford on February 14, 1998, in Stinnett, however they have been together for 40 years.  Neal was a gifted retired welder.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, playing horseshoes, and sharing his insight at the table of knowledge at Shannon’s Restaurant.  Neal was a member of the Elks Lodge #923 in Amarillo. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Betty Derrick.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda of Stinnett; sister, Denny Salmon and husband Donald of Fritch; niece, Tammy Salmon-Belcher of Fritch; great niece, Tiffany Hoffman and husband Brad of Fritch; great-great niece, Raven Hoffman and fiancé Caden Farmer; great-great nephew, Chayton Hoffman; great-great great niece, Wrynlee Farmer due to arrive in August; his friends at Shannon’s; friends from childhood, Sara Ayers Ziolkowski and her daughter Melissa Broz, Sherry Stottlemyer, Larry Henson and wife Jeanie; and a host of extended family and friends.
