Nell Jones

Nell Marie Jones, 85 of Borger went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 27, 2022, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Westlawn Memorial Park. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Nell was born July 18, 1936, in Bryan County, OK to Rudolph Preston and Irene (Baker) Black. She worked for C. R. Anthony’s as a salesclerk. Nell married Eldon A. Jones September 18, 1954, in Brown, OK. She was a member of Keeler Baptist Church where she helped with Bible School and Awana’s. Nell loved to paint anything that did not move and working in the yard.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother, Gene Black and sister, Joyce Harlin.

Surviving is her daughter Nelda Chester and husband Boyd of Borger; son, Randy Jones and wife Geraldine of Borger; grandchildren, Lisa Mesneak, Lori Cowan and husband James, Christine Bridges and Fabian, and Ethan Bridges; great-grandchildren, Carson Mesneak, Mason Cowan, and Emma Diaz; brothers, Wayne Black and Ray Black.
