Nina Phillips

Nina Durlene Phillips, 74, passed away Friday, September 1, 2017.

Funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Fritch Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Durlene was born December 17, 1942 in Vernon, Texas to Durwood and Faye Waggoner Withers. She married William Boyd Phillips on August 19, 1960 in Borger at Central Church of Christ. Durlene enjoyed camping and going to the mountains. Family was everything to her and in fact most of her time was spent watching the grandkids and great grandkids playing sports.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a great grandchild, Lily May Gorena.


Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Boyd of Fritch; son, Kevin Phillips of Little Elm; daughters, Keisha Thomas and husband Haywood of White Deer, Kyla Mason and husband Shawn of Plano, Kristi Teichelman of Forney; nine grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and a brother, Dow Withers and wife Nancy of Las Vegas.
