Norma Pettit

Norma Rudean Pettit, 84, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the Church of Christ at Borger. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Norma was born August 28, 1934 in Goodlett, Texas to Sadie and Winston Young. She married Maurice Pettit on November 10, 1959 in Borger. Norma was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. She was a gifted seamstress. Norma enjoyed bowling and traveling with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul "Sandy" Pettit; sister, Mary Brown and brothers, Winston Young, Jr. and Alton Young.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Maurice of Borger; daughter, Marlene Smoot and her husband Richard of Austin; two grandchildren, Braden Smoot and his wife Ashley and Amanda; two great grandsons, Jonah and Jase; and sisters, Faye Lumpkin and Bobbie Nicholas and her husband Dewayne.
