Norma Shackelford

Norma Ruth Shackelford, 75, died Friday March 22, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Panhandle with Mitch Wiggains, Minister officiating and Rev. Jerald Middaugh of the New Hope Assembly of God assisting. Burial will follow at the Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Norma was born October 13, 1937 in Jacksboro, Texas to Norman and Alice Branum. She is a lifetime resident of Panhandle and attended the New Hope Assembly of God Church. Norma married Clarence Bennett Shackelford June 3, 1953 in Panhandle. She worked as a volunteer with the American Cancer Society and the Relay for Life. She loved crafts of all kinds and her dog Poncho.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence.

She is survived by her son Craig Shackelford and his wife Denise of Panhandle and 2 Grandchildren Jenson and Ellie.
