Norman Edward Gilmore, 77, of Stinnett passed away Friday, January 15, 2010, at BSA Hospice of Amarillo.
Services will be 2pm. Monday, January 18, 2010 at the 1st Christian Church in Stinnett with Pastor Jim West officiating. Interment will follow at Lieb cemetery. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
He was born April 19, 1932 in Addyston, Ohio to Norman and Roxie Gilmore. He married Lucy Isaacs in Borger, September 1, 1982. Norman was a kind and loving man. He had a full and long life with many careers, from being in the Air Force to farming, and then to being a manager of a grain elevator. When he retired he started driving a school bus for the Morse school. He loved going to church and the 5th Sunday community singing service. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife Lucy 2 sons Charles Gilmore and wife Sandie of Stinnett, Robert Gilmore and wife Donna of Home 1 daughter Tresa Garrard and husband Preston of Stinnett 1 sister Louise Horstman of Indiana 8 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Gilmore, a grandson P.J. Garrard, and a brother Charles Gilmore.
Pallbearers David Garrard, Scotty Garrard, Billy Gilmore, Sam Sigler, Chris Sigler, Chris Mowery, Ed Spears, Kentan Johnson and Don Brogdon.
The family will be at 531 Stewart and 207 N. Davis St. in Stinnett.
