Omar Cecil Robinson, Sr., 85, died Sunday in Altus, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Randy Bartley, Pastor of Keeler Baptist Church officiating. Services are under direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Omar was born August 19, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas to Herbert Bearl Robinson and Freeda Clara Barnett Robinson. He attended Spring creek schools and graduated from Borger High School in 1951. He was a Postal Carrier for the US Postal Service for 32 years and loved to hunt, fish and camp. He lived in Borger for most of his life moving to Oklahoma in the mid-nineties.
Omar was preceded in death by his parents, his son Omar, Jr. and stepson Timothy C. Brown.
He is survived by his two daughters Jamie Spring of Carbondale, CO and Suzanne Fletcher of Granite, OK, his stepson Larry Brown of Borger, his six grandchildren; Christi and Chris Walser, Angela Berry, Britany Martinez, Caylee Landers and Cole Fletcher and nine great grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Honorary casket bearers will be Chris Walser, Don Fine, John Ridling, James Ridling, Larry Brown, Sr. and Cole Fletcher.
