Orvil Baker

Orvil F. Baker, 88, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Garden at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Baker was born on January 19, 1922 in Oklahoma City, OK and had been a Borger resident for 51 years. He married Hilda Jo Tillie Myers on September 29, 1941 in Oklahoma City. She preceded him in death in September, 2007. He was a retired pumper for Phillips Pipeline Co. and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Baker was survived by his son Mark Baker and wife Suzette of Borger, two daughters Linda Meyers of Amarillo, Becky Hunter and husband Mel of Spring Branch, TX, eight grandchildren, twelve greatgrandchildren and three greatgreat grandchildren.
