Oscar Marquez

Oscar “Navo” Marquez, 72, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, October 31, 2022, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Oscar was born January 5, 1950, in Mexico to Roberto Marquez and Hermenia Muñoz Marquez.  He married Graciela Adame on June 10, 1972, in Mexico.  He was employed by Northwest as an insulation and metal man until his heath began to keep him from working.  Oscar enjoyed listening to music and working on his home. He had a passion for horses and raised goats.  Nothing brought more joy to his life than his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Hermenia Marquez; daughter, Monica Marquez; sister, Maribel Marquez Maldonado; and brother, Reyes Marquez.

Survivors include his wife, Graciela Marquez of Borger; sons, Sigifredo Marquez and wife Jamie of Payson, Arizona, Wilfredo Marquez and wife Sonya of Borger, Ivan Romero of Borger; daughters, Camelia Marquez and husband Reyes Hernandez of Borger, Sandra Marquez of Borger, Melinda Marquez of Borger; grandchildren, Giovianni Marquez, Osvaldo Hernandez, Makalya Hernandez, Elaine Garcia, Victor Garcia, Jasmine Marquez, Isaac Marquez, Alfredo Marquez, Oscar Marquez, Alejandra Dominguez; brothers, Roberto Marquez and wife Veronica of Mexico, Toño Marquez and wife Olga of Mexico; sisters, Argelia Carrasco and husband Luis of Borger, Ampario Orange and husband Oscar of Presidio, Yesenia Marquez Muñoz of Mexico, Aurora Marquez and husband Manuela DeLuna of Mexico, Endromeda Argumendo and husband Marcos of Mexico, Herminia Hernandez of Mexico; brother-in-law, Guillermo Maldanado of Mexico; sister-in-law, Maria Huertes of Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
