Otilia Velazquez Moreno, 58, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 in Lubbock, TX. There will be a small service with family at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home and a Graveside Service will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Westlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lucio Moreno officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Otilia will lie in state until 10 am Wednesday morning.
Otilia was born June 4, 1957 in Huejucar, Mexico to Antonia Fierros and Alejandro Velazquez. Otilia was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista. She was a true caregiver always taking care of her family and friends, always putting others before herself. Otilia especially loved taking care of her grandkids and going to have coffee and donuts. She loved to go shopping and going to garage sales, and taking care of her garden and her birds. She loved to go visiting her family and friends. She was always smiling, laughing and joking.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Esli Moreno and a brother, Juan Velazquez.
Survivors include her husband, Angel Moreno of the home; sons, Miguel Angel Moreno and wife Analisa of Borger, Adan Moreno and wife Karla of Borger; four grandchildren, Joseph, William, Samantha and Esli; sister, Aurelia Velazquez Fierros and husband Julian Torrez of Jalisco, Mexico and a host of extended family.
