Otis Kirksey

Otis O.T. Hobby Thomas Kirksey was born into this life on April 21, 1930, in Archer County, Texas to Ben and Della Kirksey. He closed his eyes here on earth July 30, 2011 and opened them in heaven.

While here on the earth he lived his life to the fullest. He married Della Fay Brown Francis on June 15, 1952 in New Mexico. He owned and operated K S Well Service for 22 years. He was blessed with four kids, Robert Jane Francis of Georgia, Alvin Carol Francis of Kerrville, Fay Kenny Yelton of Stinnett, and Benny Debby Kirksey of Stinnett. He was so proud of all that his kids accomplished, but he was really happy when they each blessed him with grandkids. Greg Rebecca Francis, Berrett Carey Francis, Clint Francis, Jennifer Lance Wright, Tammy Beau Hamby, Robert Brandy Yelton, Dwight Courtney Kirksey, and Jason Jamie Kirksey. Needless to say O.T. had a big family and it just kept getting larger. He was blessed with 17 greatgrandkids and one on the way, Nicole, Zak, Jordan, Josie, Caleb, Kenna, Dani, Kade, Cole, Emily, Luke, Skyler, Morgan, Taylor, Jace, Tanner, and Abbi. He had many smiles and lots of laughter with his whole family and he loved each and everyone of them. We will dearly miss him. He also leaves behind a sister Wynona Homer Draper of Arkansas and lots of other family, friends and church family.

While we will miss him here there was an amazing family reunion going on in the sky. After he saw Jesus he was greeted by his parents Ben Della Kirksey, reunited with his wife of 52 years Della Duck Kirksey, his brother Howard Kirksey and his sister Della Cricket Green. Im sure Uncle Frank and Lee couldnt wait to show him all the good fishing spots and lots of bluegrass music was being played.

A sevice to honor Otis Thomas Kirksey is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM. The service will be held at Celebration Family Church in Fritch, Texas. Pastor Dwight Kirksey, will perform the service. He will be laid to rest at Westlawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
