P. A. Davis

P. A. Davis, 87, passed from this life Wednesday, March 9, 2022.  Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 16 at the Church of Christ at Borger. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

He was born October 17, 1934 near Shamrock to Charles Jefferson Davis and Oleta Merle Sewell Davis.  He moved to Borger in 1956 and became an Electrician at Phillips Petroleum Company.  P. A. was a member of the Kiwanis Club, he coached boxing, delivered Meals on Wheels, cooked for Borger's Annual Fish Fry, served at the Satellite Workshop and helped people with their Electrical needs.  He loved his family, gun shows and volunteering at the church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Percy, Jr., his grandson Beau Davis and granddaughter Katie Karins, sons-in-law Johnny Whitfield and Brad McCarty.

P. A. is survived by his wife Maria, his sons Charlie Davis and his wife Tanya of Borger, Glenn Davis and his wife Amy of Borger and Chess Venable of Amarillo, his daughters Sheila McCarty of Borger, Quita Karins and her husband Chuck of Amarillo and Mandy Kovach and her husband Dave of Pennsylvania, his brother Thurman Davis of Ft. Towson, OK, his sisters Lamona Harris of Ft. Towson, OK, Billie Welty of Amarillo and Linda Stewart of Weatherford, OK and thirteen grandchildren.

Casket Bearers will be Bryan Davis, Ryan Davis, Ty Whitfield, Gilbert Aquirre, Robert Douglas and Raymond Douglas.  Honorary bearers will be O. D. Bliss, Richard Maxwell, Dean Meyer, Pete Loftis, Cole Davis and Shane Harris.
