Pamela Jane McCoy

Pamela Jane McCoy, 60, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Panhandle with Pastor Josh Light officiating.  Burial will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, North Texas Chapter, 2248 Central Drive, Suite 107 Box 246, Bedford, Texas, 76201.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the funeral home. 

Pamela was born October 9, 1963, in Plainview, Texas to James Edward McCoy and Saundra Jane Hamby McCoy.  She worked as an educator of Amarillo ISD.  Pamela lived life to the fullest and marched to her own drum. She enjoyed doing cross stitch and loved football, the Chicago Bears, but mainly Walter Payton.  Pamela was a lifelong fan of the University of Texas.  She had many things she enjoyed, but music was high on her list especially Donny Osmond, in fact one of her favorite things was getting to meet Donny and Marie Osmond.  She always liked the Beatles too, Paul McCartney being her favorite Beatle.  

Greeting her as she entered Heaven were her parents, James and Saundra McCoy; her daughter, Kami Vines; and nephew, Blaze Coffee.  

Survivors include her brother, Jason McCoy of Amarillo; sister, Rhonda Coffee and husband Terry of Panhandle; nieces and nephews, Adam Coffee and wife Shannon of Borger, Kristen Wilson and husband Justin of Lubbock, Jessica Sheppard and husband Trey of Denison, Luke McCoy of Lubbock; great nieces and nephews, Christopher, Jadyn, Dallas, Brody, and Jaxon.
