Patricia Fisher

Patricia Ann Fisher, 81, loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother, went to be with her Lord October 31st.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday November 5th at Riverview Baptist Church with preacher Jimmy Gillmore, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a family visitation Friday, November 4th at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Phillips Alumni Scholarship Fund in memory of Pat Fisher, P.O. Box 1710, Borger, Texas 79008-1710.

Pat was born August 27, 1935 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Pete and Johnnie (Tullous) Burks. She moved with her family to Phillips at a young age where she graduated high school in 1953. She married George Dub Fisher December 24, 1953.

Pat served on the Phillips School Board starting in April 1979 until the consolidation with Plemons and Stinnett in 1987. She served on the PSP School Board until May 2002 serving 23 years. Pat was active at West Texas School events following her grandchildren Kristin and Jeremy from grade school through high school and college. She volunteered at the school in the ECE class for 3 years.

Pat believed every child should have a good education and promoted that with her dedication to the school and school board.

Pat worked at PBT and Amarillo National Bank until her retirement in 1990. She worked for FPC as a courier to the area high schools.

Pat was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

Pat lost the love of her life George Dub Fisher May 2016 after 62 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Jane Kaps and Linda Sue Hefner and a brother Robert Burks.

She will forever be missed by her son Brett and wife Kay of Borger. Sister Juanita Moulton of Canyon. Brother Randall Burks and wife Deanna of Fritch. Grandchildren Kristin Stacy and husband Matt of Blanchard, OK and Jeremy Fisher of Fort Wayne, IN. Great granddaughter Haven Ann Stacy named after her great grandmother) and another great granddaughter due within the month.
